ABOUT COMPANY

Established in 1889, Steinert Elektromagnetbau GmbH is now the world’s top manufacturer of magnetic separators. STEINERT is the only manufacturer that has further advanced its classic field of activity and has firmly established sensor-based sorting as a new technology in its product development.

SERVICES

Steinert manufactures the following equipment:

Magnetic drums

Magnetic drums have shown well in various applications in metal processing industry. They have no dead spots and work with larger operating gaps. They yield a clean ferrous product and clean bulk materials. They protect processing equipment from damage by tramp iron.

Non-ferrous metal separator

The recovery of non-ferrous metals is the economic basis of all recycling. The patented STEINERT NES, featuring an its eccentric pole system, is the ideal tool for the job.

Suspension magnets

Thousands of suspension magnets from STEINERT are used in mining and mineral processing industry worldwide.

X-ray sorting system

One important application of X-Ray Sorting System is the separation of mixed light and heavy metals after the iron content has been removed by magnetic separators, such as the mixed non-ferrous product from eddy current separators. When processing minerals, metal bearing rock can be separated from metal-poor rock or coal from field stone.

PROJECTS

• In cooperation with UralSpecMach the company is engaged in research and development of the ore properties at Natalka deposit using radiometric methods and Steinert’s sorting equipment.

• For the project of Norilsk Nickel, PRO Eurasia selected Steinert’s equipment for detection and removal of contaminants from ROM coming to the processing plant.
